Peggy was born in Kenya and raised in a little town on the outskirts of the Kenyan capital (Nairobi) called Thika. With a masters degree in Sociology from the University of Nairobi, Peggy decided to pursue her love for animals by becoming a Dog Trainer and Walker. Peggy has always loved animals and had 7 cats as a child! She became a caregiver by default (it seemed at the time) but soon realized tending to the infirmed was her Divine calling.
Peggy surrendered her life to Christ in high school, but then backslid in her late teenage years. She rededicated her life to the Lord Jesus in August 2000.
Peggy teaches Sunday School, serves in prisons, ushers and is a fierce prayer warrior. Her favorite verse is Proverbs 3: 5-6:
"Trust in the lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."
Why did you choose IFC?
IFC was more like falling into the right place at the right time. The Call to Prayer at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic was an answer to a yearning to unite with like-minded people in prayer for the world at a time of need. Relationship and Unity are very dear to me and at IFC, I found an honest, welcomimg and non-judgmental space! -Peggy
